Brain Port: interface to the brain through language

New development of scientists from the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition (USA),
“Brain Port” is intended for peaceful and military use, because.e. soldiers of the future will be created using this interface
and to develop devices that facilitate orientation in space for people deprived of
vision and hearing.

Transmission of signals from cameras, sonars and other equipment built into the helmet
through…language to the brain will allow the super-soldiers of the future to have supersenses:
see in the dark like owls, have an excellent sense of smell and hearing, t.e. will be
to maximize orientation in any environment and setting.

The development of “Brain Port” was started about 30 years ago by scientists from
University of Wisconsin, USA – by Dr. Paul
Beach Rita (Paul Bach-y-Rita). He was the first to begin trial transmission of images with
cameras through electrodes attached to a person on the back, but later it was found,
that the best and closest “transmitter” is the human language.

The photo shows an orange plastic strip, in which 144 contacts are located
Brain Port interface. It is through them that signals from external
devices through the tongue to the brain. Several years ago there was a popular computer
